In the election, 5201 voters of PrayagrajKaushambi local authorities’ constituency will be able to exercise their franchise. Polling will be conducted at 33 booths. There will be a total of 25 polling booths in Prayagraj and another eight in Kaushambi.

This time the election will be different from last time because three booths have increased here. Shringverpur, Sahason and Bhagwatpur have become three new blocks in Prayagraj this year and so polling will be held at the block headquarters of these three new blocks too along with the old ones. Along with this, voting will be held in

municipal corporation and district panchayat building within the city limits as well for the convenience of voters.

All the members of the municipal corporation, all members of the Cantonment Board, district panchayat, gram panchayat, MPs and all the MLAs vote in MLC polls. When the voter list was prepared, the assembly elections had not yet been held. Things have changed after the assembly elections as many seats of the region have new MLAs. The letter in this regard has been sent to the Election Commission and soon the list of voters with the names of new MLAs will also be released. In the state, MLC polls will be held on 36 seats under 35 local authorities’ constituencies.
