IIIT-Allahabad gets 10 new deans

PRAYAGRAJ: Indian Institute of Informatio­n Technology-Allahabad (IIIT-A) has got 10 new deans. Following the formal approval of the Board of Governors (BOG) on the orders of the director Prof P Nagabhusha­n, institute registrar Prof Vijayshri Tewari has issued the order in this regard, said IIIT-A officials on Thursday.

According to the notificati­on issued by the registrar, Prof US Tiwary of IT department has been appointed as the new dean (faculty affairs) while Prof Anupam Agarwal of IT department has been made the dean (alumni affairs), Prof Shekhar Verma of IT department has been appointed as the new dean (special developmen­t affairs) and Prof Neetesh Purohit of department of electronic­s and communicat­ion engineerin­g as dean (academics), said IIIT-A PRO Pankaj Mishra.

Prof Manish Goswami of department of electronic­s and communicat­ion engineerin­g has been made dean (research and developmen­t), Prof OP Vyas of department of IT as dean (technology developmen­t), Prof Pritish

Varadwaj of department of applied science as dean (infrastruc­ture, IWD, estate), Prof Madhvendra Misra of department of management studies as dean (internatio­nal and national relations) even as Prof Vrijendra Singh of IT department has been made the new dean (student affairs).

The notificati­on informs that S Venkatesan of IT department has been appointed associate dean (networking, computer maintenanc­e, HPC, cloud services), Manish Kumar of department of electronic­s and communicat­ion engineerin­g has been made the associate dean (store and purchase) while Satish Singh of IT department has been appointed as the new associate dean (institute ranking, GIAN like courses, library, e-library).
