Seers, BJP workers from Kashi to attend Yogi’s swearing-in

VARANASI : A group of 41 seers from different mutts and temples and four members of Kashi Vidvat Parishad will attend the swearing-in ceremony of Yogi Adityanath 2.0 government at Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium in Lucknow on Friday, said general secretary, Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti Swami Jitendrana­nd Saraswati who has already reached the state capital. Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti is an umbrella body of Hindu seers while Kashi Vidvat Parishad is an organisati­on of scholars of Vedas and intellectu­als.

“Invitation­s have already been sent to seers. Over 40 of them from places like Varanasi, Prayagraj, Ballia and other districts will attend the swearing-in. They will wish the Yogi-led BJP government success in setting new records in carrying out further developmen­t in UP in the next five years,” said Saraswati.

Saraswati said all arrangemen­ts regarding and toing and froing besides stay of the seers had already been made. These seers include Mahant Ashutoshan­and, Baba Balakdas Ji, Santosh Das Ji Satua Baba, Ramsurat Das Ji Maharaj, Swami Gangadas Ji Maharaj from Kashi, Shankarach­arya Swami Vasudevana­nd Saraswati from Prayagraj among others.

“Yogi-led BJP government had to face several challenges, including global pandemic, between 2017 and 2022 and it dealt with these challenges successful­ly and also ensured developmen­t,” he added. Saraswati said, “The seer community is delighted because a Yogi (Adityanath) has proved several myths and superstiti­ons wrong. He set a new record.” He further said the community was quite hopeful that every UP district would be equipped with a medical college and health facilities would improve across the state in the next five years. Kashi Vidvat Parishad’s office bearers, including general secretary prof Ramnarayan Dwivedi; secretary organisati­on prof Vinay Kumar Pandey and vice president prof Bhagwat Sharan Shukla would also attend Yogi’s swearing-in.
