CM: All cabinet ministers to pay field visits, gather feedback

LUCKNOW : Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said all cabinet ministers will go to the field to collect feedback from the people about functionin­g of the administra­tive system and examine the possibilit­ies of developmen­t in each district.

Eighteen teams for 18 divisions are being constitute­d under the chairmansh­ip of cabinet ministers. A programme for 18 weeks is being prepared for the ministers.

The teams will stay for 72 hours in each division. The members of the teams will travel to different districts. Later, the nodal officers of 75 districts will collect the report of these teams and submit a work plan for implementa­tion within 15 days, the chief minister said.

He gave the directives while viewing the presentati­on of the home department.

In the last five years, Uttar Pradesh had presented a model of strong law and order, he said, adding that organised crime has ended in the state. Illegally acquired assets worth ₹ 2081 crore have been confiscate­d, he said. Action against the mafia and criminals will continue, he added. The police should be ready 24×7 for the safety and honour of 25 crore people of the state, he said.

The previous government had liquidated 54 companies of the Provincial Armed Constabula­ry (PAC). Along with reviving all these PAC companies, the BJP government has started a new battalion, Yogi said.

COMMANDO TRAINING CENTRE IN RAMPUR

Land should be acquired for the establishm­ent of a commando training centre in Rampur, the

chief minister said. Like the men’s team, a skilled team of women commandos should be formed, he said.
