Action against seven officers of urban development dept
LUCKNOW : Additional chief secretary (urban development) Rajnish Dubey on Friday took action against seven officers of the urban development department on charges of financial irregularities and negligence in development work.
“Action has been taken against an assistant municipal commissioner (then executive officer, Sambhal) level officer besides departmental action against executive officers of six other local bodies of the state on charges of financial irregularities, negligence in development works, and substandard construction work,” he said.
The moves came following the orders of zero tolerance against corruption by the chief minister, said Dubey.
Assistant municipal commissioner (Prayagraj) Raj Kumar Gupta (then executive officer of Sambhal) was suspended for payments without verifying the purchase and registration of vehicles in Nagar Palika Parishad of Sambhal.
Departmental action was taken against Ram Pujan Srivastava,
currently executive officer, Nagar Palika Parishad, Tanda (then executive officer, Nagar Panchayat, Unnao). He was accused of irregularities in payments and works done by a firm in the Swachh Bharat Mission during his Unnao tenure.
The ACS also started departmental action against executive officer Raj Kumar, executive officer, Nagar Palika Parishad
Jalali, Aligarh, who was accused of irregularities in the repairs of a marriage hall. Kumar was the then executive officer, Nagar Panchayat, Bahua, Fatehpur.
Similar action was taken against Sunil Kumar Singh, executive officer, Nagar Panchayat, Kadaura district, for his negligence in the management of Kanha Gaushala.
Meanwhile, departmental action was taken against Devendra Pratap Gautam, executive officer, Nagar Panchayat, Dhaur, Tanda, Bareilly for poor quality of construction work in nagar panchayat.
Action was taken against Deepalika Yadav, then executive officer, Nagar Panchayat, Bithuna (Auraiya), (currently executive officer, municipal council, Gohanu district, Hamirpur) for her involvement in pressing contractors to get the work done for 35% less than the amount paid.
Sunil Kumar Singh, the then executive officer, Nagar Panchayat, Bithuna (Auraiya), (currently executive officer, Municipal Council, Kadaura, Jalaun) faced action on charges of corruption.
