CM launches system for faster redressal of online complaints
DEHRADUN: Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday launched a system for the registration and time-bound redressal of grievances received through an online portal at the Uttarakhand secretariat.
Earlier letters addressed to the chief minister were registered through the CM’s letter monitoring system and physically sent to the departments concerned by the CMO. Now the letters received by the chief minister have been integrated with CM Helpline 1905.
Launching the new system, the chief minister, taking cognisance of the problems faced by Mukesh Ram, a resident of Champawat, spoke to him on the phone. Dhami said that his problem has been sent to the Champawat district magistrate, and the same will be redressed soon
The chief minister said that it is the endeavour of the state government to ensure that the problems and grievances of the people be resolved promptly. He said that the chief minister’s helpline number 1905, Apni
Sarkar Portal and corruptionfree Uttarakhand App 1064 would be reviewed every 15 days at the level of additional chief secretary to CM and chief secretary in one month and by the chief minister in three months.
Dhami said the letters received by the CM office will now be received by the departmental secretary and departmental officer concerned with a click of the mouse.
“The complainant will also receive a message on the mobile number entered by him or her. The complainant will get a link along with the message, on which they can get every detail of the action taken on their complaint. The officer of the department to which the complaint is related will have to dispose of it within the stipulated time period. If the officer concerned has not disposed of the complaint in time, it will automatically be forwarded to the higher level officer. Responsibility will be fixed for the officers who do not dispose of them on time,” he said.
By integrating letters received by CM with CM Helpline 1905, time would be saved in sending the complaints to the departments. The applicant will also get the updated status of the action taken on his complaint online. By examining the data of the letters received from it and categorising the problems, a new policy can be prepared for the solutions. Dhami said the government is focussing on the mantra of “simplification, solution and disposal” while dealing with the grievances of the people. He said action taken so far by the departments for simplification of procedures would be reviewed soon. “For the overall development of Uttarakhand, the road map being prepared by the departments for the next 10 years will also be reviewed soon,” he said. The chief minister also directed the officials to strengthen the e-office system at the government and district levels. “The authorities will have to clarify the reasons for the nondisposal of files within the stipulated time frame,” he said.
