Works put on fast track in state under 9 years of Modi rule: CM
DEHRADUN: Chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a special attachment to Devbhoomi Uttarakhand and during his nine years of tenure, various works have been done in the state at a rapid pace.
Addressing the media at a hotel on Rajpur Road in Dehradun, he said, “Work on Bharatmala project, all-weather road, rail connectivity, education, medical, infrastructure, connectivity, Kedarnath reconstruction, Badrinath master plan is going on at rapid pace in Uttarakhand under PM Modi’s leadership.”
He said under PM Modi’s leadership, his government’s emphasis is on the ‘Navratna’.
“First ratna is reconstruction work at Kedarnath-Badrinath Dham at a cost of ₹1300 crore. Second is ₹2500 crore ropeway project at Gaurikund-Kedarnath and Gobind Ghat- Hemkunt Sahib. Third is the renovation of ancient temples of Kumaon under Manas Khand Mandir
Mala programme. Fourth is the promotion of Homestay in the entire state where more than 4,000 homestays have been registered in the state. Fifth is the development of 16 ecotourism destinations. Sixth is expansion of health services in Uttarakhand.

Union minister of state Dr. Sanjeev Balyan said under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the central government has done commendable work for the poor, underprivileged, women empowerment, better infrastructure for health care, development of technology, environmental protection among other areas.
He said, “Free foodgrains to 80 crore people under Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, tap water to 11.88 crore people, construction of 11.72 crore toilets under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, constitutional status to National Commission for Backward Classes, opening of 48.27 crore Jan-Dhan accounts, more than 3 crore houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. 37 crore Ayushman Bharat health accounts, all these were done under PM Modi’s leadership. ₹6000 is given annually to over 11 crore farmers through PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme. Affordable and accessible health services are being made available to all. During Covid period, India made 2 indigenous vaccines, which were given to other countries. Road, rail, and air connectivity expanded rapidly in the country.”
On this occasion, cabinet minister Prem Chand Aggarwal, state president BJP Mahendra Bhatt were also present.
