Keep a watch on urban naxals: CM
VARANASI: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday instructed police officers to keep a watch on urban naxals.
The chief minister reviewed developmental projects and law and order, as well as preparations for G-20 event.
District magistrate S. Rajalingam informed the CM that the G-20 guests would reach Kashi on June 11. They will be welcomed at the airport and at two points on the way. Cultural programmes will be organized at these points. The next day, after the TFC meeting, all the guests will attend a cultural programme at Namo Ghat and watch Ganga Aarti at Dashashwamedh Ghat. The guests will also watch various cultural events at Sarnath. He also informed the chief minister about the floating jetty prepared at Dashashwamedh Ghat.
The CM said that all the preparations should be completed on time with special focus on traffic management during G -20 event.
Instructing police officers to increase foot patrolling and enhancing security, CM said that there was need for a strong vigil on urban naxals.
He said that elaborate security arrangements should be ensured in Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
“Talk to business establishments to get more CCTV cameras installed in the city and link them with command controlroom,” the CM instructed.
He said that NHAI, PWD and Setu Nigam should complete developmental projects on time and with high quality work. on time.
He said that there should be no laxity in security arrangements at Kashi Vishwanath Dham.. Better facilities should be provided to the devotees coming to Kashi Vishwanath Temple.
The chief minister also directed the district magistrate to get a probe done in poor quality construction of ITI in Pindra area and take action against the guilty.
