BJP leaders pay rich tributes to Ambedkar
VARANASI: BJP national general secretary Sunil Bansal paid floral tributes to Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, pioneer of social justice and great social reformer, on the occasion of his birth anniversary on Sunday.
Bansal, who was on a twoday visit to Varanasi, garlanded Dr Ambedkar’s statue at Kutchehari intersection.
Addressing his party workers, Bansal said that Baba Saheb’s contribution to removing social inequality and providing social justice to the deprived classes was incomparable.
The efforts made by Dr. Ambedkar for the empowerment of people standing on the last rung of the social ladder would continue to inspire all . Dr. Ambedkar dedicated his life to the eradication of untouchability and social inequality and was an immortal champion of social harmony, Bansal said.
Several BJP leaders and workers also paid homage to Dr Ambedkar.
Kashi region BJP president Dilip Patel said that Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, born on April 14, 1891, was a man of extraordinary talent and was also a famous political and social reformer. He made invaluable contribution in drafting the Indian Constitution.
The BJP government at the Centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was doing the work of realizing Baba Saheb’s dreams by upliftment of the exploited and deprived people of the society, he said.
Kashi region BJP media in-charge Navratan Rathi said that the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was celebrated at 30286 booths of all the 16 organizational districts of Kashi region, including Varanasi district and city.
Member of Legislative Council and Varanasi Lok Sabha coordinator Ashwini Tyagi, Lok Sabha in-charge and former minister Satish Dwivedi and a large number of leaders and workers were present.
