Paresh Rawal finds a fan in Auritra Ghosh
Actor Auritra Ghosh (left), who is starring in a recently released film alongside veteran actors Paresh Rawal (inset), Naseerudin Shah and Annu Kapoor, says that Rawal immerses himself in his character once he is on the set.
“As per the plot, most of my interaction was with Paresh ji. Despite his political responsibilities taking up much of his time, when he came on the set, he completely transformed into the character he was portraying,” says the Delhi girl who has also featured in actor Dia Mirza’s debut production, Love, Breakups, Zindagi (2011).
The film, which is the official remake of the British comedy hit, Infidel (2010), is the story of a man who learns late in life that his parents belonged to a different religion, thus making him question his own beliefs. Since the movie takes a humorous look at religion, like Aamir Khan’s PK (2014), does Auritra feel it, too, might face backlash from religious outfits?
“No, I’m sure the film won’t face any problem because we have done our best to not hurt any religious sentiments. Once people see the film, they will get to know that it is not a personal tirade against any religion. It is just about a man who is facing an identity crisis as far his religious beliefs are concerned,” she says.
