Reel-life Harry has a thank-you gesture for real-life tour guides
Shah Rukh Khan has a special thank-you gesture for a group of people who honoured him recently. He will be organising a special screening of his film Jab Harry Met
Sejal, co-starring Anushka Sharma, for members of the Jodhpur Tourist Guide Association. “SRK has made arrangements for the guides and their families to catch a special screening of the movie during the first weekend of its release,” says a source. The film is releasing today nationwide.
Why the gesture? Well, because Shah Rukh, who plays tour guide Harry in the film, is now an honorary member of the Jodhpur Tourist Guide Association. The organisation presented him with this membership and a guide’s badge at a recent event. Speaking about that event, the source says, “SRK, who was in Jaipur to promote the movie, took a detour and visited Jodhpur to receive the honour. The actor received a traditional Jodhpuri welcome from the tourist guides with a Rajasthani pagdi, as he landed in the Blue City.”
Directed by Imtiaz Ali, who is known for the love stories that he makes, Jab Harry Met Sejal, too, is a romantic film that traces the adventurous escapades of two strangers — Harinder Singh Nehra aka Harry (Shah Rukh Khan) and Sejal Jhaveri (Anushka Sharma) — when they set out to search for a ring across six countries. The audience gets to travel with them, too!
