Apeejay Stya & Svran Group recently hosted a Visual Art Exhibition viewing and reception by renowned artist Austin Camilleri from Malta — who works in multiple domains of installation art, painting, drawing, video and sculpture.
Stephen Borg, High Commissioner of Malta to India, Harinder Sidhu, Australian High Commissioner to India and other key officials from apex industry chambers graced the occasion. The exhibition was followed by a cocktail dinner.
Sushma Paul Berlia, president, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, said, “The theme of the artworks represents both inner and outer explorations, well expressed through multiple mediums.” Nishant Berlia, member, management board, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group said, “On an earlier occasion, His Excellency, Stephen Borg visited the International Wing of Apeejay School in Sheikh Sarai — Delhi’s first and only comprehensive international school.” Exposure to cultures from the world is an intrinsic part of their curriculum.
“We’ve an abiding relation with Malta with scholarships for Maltese students in Apeejay Stya University,” said Berlia, Member, Management Board, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group. A visit by Austin Camilleri to Apeejay Institute of Design(AID), was also organised. Stephen Borg said, “With this exhibition, we could bring to India, the beauty that Maltese art is.”
Austin Camilleri advised aspiring art students to be original in their approach.
