I’M HAPPY WITH HOW MY FILM JOURNEY IS SHAPING UP: RAJKUMMAR

-

Last year, work satisfaction came actor Rajkummar Rao’s way in the form of his films, Trapped, Behen Hogi Teri, Bareilly Ki Barfi, and Newton. He’s hoping to derive the same “happiness” from his projects this year. And mind you, there are quite a few.

“Fanney Khan is my second release of 2018 after Omerta, and the trailer of Stree will be launched soon. After that, I have Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To Aisa Laga (ELKDTAL). So, I’m very happy [with] the way my film journey is shaping up. I just wish this year also brings the same amount of happiness and work satisfaction,” says Rajkummar.

On the response to the Fanney Khan trailer, which was released recently, he says, “I’ve always been a big fan of Anil Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan... People are praising Anil sir’s character in the film, and the chemistry between Aishwarya Rai and me is also being appreciated.”

After the Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra film, Anil and Rajkummar will share screen space in ELKDTAL. “People are saying there’s a new couple in town in the form of both of us, and I am completely okay with it.”

There’s another film — Mental Hai Kya, alongside his Queen (2013) co-star Kangana Ranaut. Rajkummar has just returned from a London shooting schedule of the film. On working with Kangana again, he says, “It is a lot of fun working with her... We are really good friends.”
