Veere Di Wedding revolves around the feisty Kalindi (Kareena), who on a whim decides to tie the knot with her long-term partner Rishab (Sumeet Vyas). Shocked at the news, her friends; the hot-shot lawyer Avni (Sonam K Ahuja), the perennially angsty Sakshi (Swara Bhasker) and family woman Meera (Shikha Talsania) converge to support Kalindi as she prepares to run the gauntlet of cultural and religious customs that are all part of the wedding ceremony.
Kareena Kapoor Khan said, “Veere Di Wedding is quite different from what I have done previously. A coming of age film, it revolves around four girls who are at different stages in their lives and the highs and lows they go through, while their friendship plays a pivotal role in how they come to terms with the reality of life. The movie brings alive real problems that people face in their day to day life and the entire family can come together and enjoy the movie. It did exceptionally well in the theatres and I hope with the television premiere of the movie on &pictures, viewers can catch up with it in at home.”
