Raveena roots for women even with her brand endorsements

Actor Raveena Tandon is known to back issues pertaining to women empowerment and has always raised her voice to support the cause. She is also working closely with Unicef to protect the rights of women and eradicate child labour. More importantly, the actor is very particular when it comes to endorsements and opts only for women-oriented ones.

A source close to the actor informs, “Raveena is not only a gorgeous actor, but also a warm personality. At the age of 21, she adopted two girls and raised them as a single parent.”

It comes as no surprise then that even in terms of endorsements, Raveena has always opted to endorse women-oriented brands. “This is because Raveena has always encouraged education for girls and wants them all to be independent,” the source adds.

Raveena is an inspiration to women who wish to make the best out of their lives, and be successful in their respective professions. She feels it is very important to spread awareness that women are not ‘the weaker sex’. “I am extremely proud to be born as a woman. I believe it is the responsibility of every citizen to encourage women to take a stand and help them prove their capabilities.”

Raveena is also part of the anti-harassment committee formed by the Cine and TV Artistes’ Association (CINTAA) to tackle cases of sexual harassment in the industry.
