‘I’m excited to star with Manoj Bajpayee’

Actor Gulshan Devaiah is happy with the good response to his latest film, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota, at international film festivals. Although the film is yet to release in India, Gulshan has already picked his next project in which he will share screen space with actor Manoj Bajpayee for the first time.

Both actors will be seen together in the film titled Hinterland, expected to go on the floors next year.

Excited to be teaming up with the senior actor, Gulshan says he admires the way Manoj lends authenticity to any character he plays. “When I heard the script (of Hinterland), I found it really interesting and challenging at the same time. It’s going to be an exciting journey shooting for the same. I play the brother to Manoj’s character in the film. He is a phenomenal actor and has been a big inspiration for me,” says Gulshan.

The actor especially remembers watching Satya (1998) and Manoj’s performance as Bhiku Mhatre gave him hope.

“I started to believe I too can succeed as a professional actor. I’m really glad and excited to have the opportunity of working with him. He is one of the most important actors of the last 25 years, a pioneer, a legend,” adds Gulshan.

I have watched Manoj’s work and really admire him for the authenticity he lends to every character. He is a phenomenal actor.
