Be thankful for what you have: Aamna
Ramzan is incomplete sans lavish spreads and get-togethers, but for actor Aamna Sharif, both Ramzan and Eid are low-key this year, like for most others. “It will be a quiet Eid, but it’ll be a different experience altogether,” she tells us.
Eid, like all other festivals, is about togetherness, but for Sharif, it is all about gratitude this year, given the Covid-19 crisis. “At the end of the day, what matters are the relationships, friends and the little joys in life. Be thankful for what you have. I have realised that materialistic things don’t matter at all,” says the actor, 37.
“I pray that we all come out as more kind, humble and modest human beings,” adds Sharif, who is keyed up to make biryani herself rather than ordering or having it prepared by someone else. “The lockdown has made everyone a chef. I thought, why not try making biryani this year,” she quips.
