Samarth and I broke up after Bigg Boss: Isha

Actor Isha Malviya’s personal life was on display on Bigg Boss 17, with her exboyfriend, actor Abhishek Kumar, and then-boyfriend, actor Samarth Jurel, both in the house with her. Malviya and Jurel’s relationship was revealed during the show and they exited as a couple. Recently, news came out that the two have broken up. Malviya tells us that the news came out one month late. “The break-up happened right after we came out of Bigg Boss. I still remember that at the Holi party, Samarth and I were trying to pretend that we were still on talking terms. So, we gave ourselves closure and moved on,” the 20-year-old tells us. The Udaariyaan actor insists that while she has always listened to her heart when it comes to her personal life, she is now heeding her parents’ advice. “Mujhe jo pasand hai main wahi karti aayi hoon aur aage bhi wahi karungi. But I also have to listen to my parents. Abhi unka yeh take hai meri personal life pe ki yeh sab cheezein hoti rahengi, and I can focus on it later. It’s very important for me to focus on my professional life,” she says, adding, “I don’t want to regret later that when I had time to work, I was involved in other things. So, abhi main apne parents ki baat sunn rahi hoon.”

But does she regret getting her personal life into scrutiny due to her stint at Bigg Boss? “I don’t regret anything. Maine decision liya tha jaane ka and the things that are coming my way, woh main handle kar rahi hoon apne hisaab se,” she says, asserting that she is enjoying being single. “I am focusing on my work, and I am happy,” she ends.
