The BJP’s prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi will interact with Delhiites through video-conferencing as part of his ‘Chai Pe Charcha’ initiative on Saturday.

“While Modi will be present at one of the places himself to address the people, BJP workers will organize separate chaupals at 70 places in the city to inform people about the policies of the BJP, besides serving tea. People in India as well as foreigners will be able to interact with him through video-conferencing and know his views,” said state unit president Harsh Vardhan.

Some of these places are New Delhi, Kasturba Nagar, Malviya Nagar, RK Puram, Greater Kailash among others. According to sources, 10 places have been identified by the state unit where Modi will be present, including south Campus, main campus, Rajinder Nagar, Town Hall in Chandni Chowk among others.

“These places are being reviewed depending on the security and other aspects and one of them will be finalised. A decision on it will be taken soon,” said a senior BJP leader.

Vardhan said Saturday, March 8, is International Women’s day. “We want that people of Delhi know about the progressive economic, social, political, foreign, youth, women, industrial, trade, agricultural, science, research, education, and health policies of our prime ministerial candidate. This initiative will help achieve that,’ said Vardhan.

A meeting of office bearers, district presidents and other senior BJP leaders was held at state unit office to chalk out the plan. “Narendra Modiji will be able to directly interact with at least 10 crore people of the country through video conferencing. We will be finalising the venue soon,’ he added.
