‘I am looking for a job in the IT sector’
I am unable to get a job in the IT sector. I have done a BA from Delhi University in this subject. I have also recently completed the Cisco CCNA routing and switching programme. I am currently pursuing another Cisco certification course in CCNP routing and switching. It is a special kind of networking course that is very useful for freshers in this field. However, opportunities for freshers are fairly restricted and it is mostly the experienced professionals who get priority in terms of job openings. I am also pursuing a long-distance MCA course from a private university. I live in Delhi and am not able to find any suitable openings. I have heard that there are more options in Bangalore and freshers easily get jobs there. Please help me.
Gaurav Saxena I am not sure whether you mean that you are not getting job opportunities or jobs. If you are getting stuck at the interview stage, you need to improve on how you present yourself at the interview. Specifically, you need to prove how your knowledge is current and relevant. If you are not getting job opportunities at Delhi, you need to be more open to all locations. Once you have your MCA qualification, you should be able to apply for I am 27 years old, a BCom (H) graduate and a CA intern. I have completed my internship in a CA firm. I also worked in an unregistered company for around a year. I attempted the CA final exam several times but have not been successful till date. By now, I have come to realise that CA is a very difficult degree to earn. I have also gone through your earlier replies to a similar query. Are there any short-term courses that will help me get a job? Also, can I switch over to some other line of interest ? My other fields of interest are Indian mythology, social service, housekeeping, health and fitness. Please guide me.
— Kush Talwar CA may be a difficult course, but the fact is that you have done your CA intermediate and only missed out at the final stage. One alternative for you is to look at the option of a CFA degree; you may be better at analysis and financial management than accounting. The other option is to secure some additional qualifications in the software side of accounting by picking up either ERP applications or something similar.
