I am a 19-year-old with low motivation levels and no aim in life. I do not feel the need to study or do any household work. I love spending time relaxing, watching TV or doing things I am interested in. I am not disciplined. Though my scores are average and my parents have no major complaints, I wish I was energetic and motivated.

To be energetic and motivated, you need to set some goals first. Make a list of what you like and dislike and based on that ask yourself what career you would want to pursue. Set a few goals for yourself and a timeframe to achieve them. After a few days take stock of what you have achieved and how well you have performed. You may want to take the help of your seniors and teachers for this and ask them to rate your performance and whether you need to improve yourself and the scores.

You many also want to set small targets such as which topics to cover, syllabus to be completed within a timeframe etc. Make sure you achieve them as that will boost your confidence and energy levels and make you feel motivated.

Try and meet the timelines, adhere to the schedule that you draw up for yourself. Always remember that discipline is the key.

As for staying healthy, eat well and exercise regularly. Working out even for just 30 minutes per day will help you get rid of frustrations and give you loads of energy. It will also give you the confidence to take up new tasks.
