WOMEN’S DAY: EDUCATE YOUR MOTHERS AND WOMEN WILL BE EMPOWERED Shreeprakash Sharma

-

A woman in her late 30s, shabbily-clad, hair unfashionably done in ponytail, face swathed in perspiration, physically tired and mentally exhausted, yet running errands — that’s the universal image of a typical woman. Despite hardships she goes on live her life serving her husband, children, and in-laws.

But the agony of a mother does not end here. She also inculcates in her daughters the lessons of braving hardships stoically. She teaches her daughters how to live life without making any complaints. In fact, here lies the question: Is a woman less equal than a man?

It is said that a girl is not born, but made. Society conspires to condition a new-born girl in such a way that she ends up becoming a woman. But, an educated mother can make all the difference in the way a woman is treated in the society.

They say, education is the key to unlock the golden door of freedom. The way of emancipation for women lies only in education; which can pave the path of consciousness and realisation of self-worth.

If a family is considered the first school for a child then the mother is her first teacher. This is exactly why we need powerful and educated mothers to help fill the world with women who have power, privilege, and prestige. Inner Voice comprises contributions from our readers.
