Kant Enclave residents seek relief from govt
After the Supreme Court ordered the demolition of constructions in Kant Enclave on the Delhi-Haryana border in Faridabad district, local residents on Saturday urged the state government to look at their case. They also urged the Haryana’s forest department to de-notify the 1992 notification in which they had declared Kant Enclave as a forest zone.
The RWA members said that the Haryana government had not modified the master plan to show forest in the area neither was the notification made public or placed in the colony. Deputy conservator of forests, Faridabad, Suresh Punia declined to comment.
