Nation must precede religion

Hindustan Times (Gurugram) - - Ht Think! -

This refers to ‘India, a secular nation but a religious society’ (Gopalkrishna Gandhi, September 9). We should learn from Mahatma Gandhi, who was religious but a staunch nationalist, and also a godly figure for the poor. Can we put our contemporary leaders in the same category? India’s politicians never remember God when they indulge in corruption. Even religious gurus, in their discourses, never put our national interest above religion.
