DTCP to change zonal plan of Sec­tor 79, seeks ob­jec­tions from res­i­dents

The de­part­ment of town and coun­try plan­ning (DTCP) has sought ob­jec­tions for chang­ing the zonal plan of Sec­tor 79, af­ter a de­vel­oper re­quested the de­part­ment to change the align­ment of a 24-me­tre road pass­ing through its site.

The ob­jec­tions can be sub­mit­ted to the district town plan­ner’s of­fice in Sec­tor 14 till Novem­ber 20, as per a gov­ern­ment or­der.

The de­part­ment has sought ob­jec­tion to the pro­posed re­vi­sion of sec­tor plan in writ­ing that should be filed within 30 days at the of­fice of se­nior town plan­ner in Sec­tor 14 in Gu­ru­gram.

A di­rec­tion is­sued by Makrand Pan­durang, di­rec­tor, DTCP, said that the ob­jec­tions re­ceived shall be ex­am­ined on the ba­sis of merit and the com­ments on the same should be for­warded to his of­fice within 15 days af­ter the ob­jec­tions have have been filed. Af­ter this, a de­ci­sion will be taken.

The is­sue of this 24-me­tre road has been de­lay­ing the de­vel­op­ment of the in­ter­nal in­fra­struc­ture in new Gu­ru­gram sec­tors, as the gov­ern­ment has put the onus of de­vel­op­ing these roads on de­vel­op­ers.
