NO SCOPE FOR REVIEW

BCCI not introducing the Decision Review System in Ranji Trophy has kept focus on the umpiring mistakes. The Board reluctantly agreed to the review system for bilateral internationals only in 2016 and then allowed DRS from the 2019 IPL. In December 2017, an umpiring workshop was held to help domestic umpires get used to DRS for the T20 league. There have been some suggestions that DRS must be introduced at least for Ranji Trophy’s knockout games. But BCCI has not taken a call on it. Poor umpiring has been a topic of discussion in the domestic captains-coaches conclave in the last two years.
