Delhi Police begins online facility to grant arms licences

The ‘online module for receipt and processing of application’ for the grant of arms licences and other related services is the latest digital initiative taken up by Delhi Police. This would improve the service delivery by simplifying the licensing process without diluting the legal requirements. The ‘Online E-Arms Licensing System’ is intended to simplify the process of issuance of licences. The system has been designed, developed and implemented after consultations with all stakeholders and IT professionals. It would enable citizens to apply for licence from the comfort of their homes and they would be able to check the status of their applications online.
