TWO ARRESTED FOR RAPING, MOLESTING SIX-, TWO-YR-OLDS

NOIDA: Two men were arrested for allegedly raping and molesting two minor girls in separate cases. The victims were identified as six- and two-year-old girls. The accused were booked after parents of the two girls filed complaints.

In the first case, the suspect was arrested Tuesday night after the six-year-old child’s father lodged a complaint. The suspect lives in the victim’s house. “My wife was busy with household chores. After a while, we realised that our daughter was nowhere to be seen. We started looking for her and went upstairs to the suspect’s room, where we found him touching her inappropriately,” the father stated in his complaint.

Based on it, a case was registered under relevant sections of the IPC and POCSO Act.

“The family called the police and a team was rushed to the spot, but the accused had fled. He was arrested later that night and a medical examination was ordered for the girl,” Surajpur station house officer Jeetendra Deekhit said.

In the second incident, the suspect is the victim’s neighbour. The mother in her complaint said the suspect tried to hug her twoyear-old daughter against her will outside a bank near their house on Tuesday after which the family filed a complaint. The accused was booked under IPC Section 354 (use of criminal force on any woman to disrobe). “They were produced before a magistrate and sent to jail,” Deekhit said.
