Sexual harassment case against men for attacking woman

GURUGRAM: The police on Wednesday filed an FIR and included a section against sexual harassment in a case where a woman alleged she was molested and her husband attacked by miscreants at a restaurant in the city.

According to the police, Section 354A (sexual harassment) of the Indian Penal Code was added in the FIR registered at the Sadar police station.

“One of the women seen in the footage recorded her statement on Wednesday, and so the relevant sections were added,” a police official said.

The incident took place on November 10 and was caught on CCTV footage. In the video, the suspects can be seen gathering around the couple’s table.

Around five-six men allegedly got into an argument with the couple, and one of them hit the woman’s husband on the head with a liquor bottle.

A case has been registered against the suspect men, all of whom are on the run.
