WAIT & WATCH: FANS IN THE STADIUM?

-

Thanks to the Covid-19 situation being under control in the United Arab Emirates, the Emirates Cricket Board is apparently keen to fill 30-50% of the stadiums with spectators if the local government green lights it’s plans. Industry experts feel “it will come in as good news”, especially for all the franchise owners, who make around five crores from ticket sales of every match and other revenues from on-ground activities. Reportedly, if the IPL turns out to be a totally closed-door tournament, franchise owners stand to lose anything close to 10% of their total revenues.
