SETTING A NEW NARRATIVE OF GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT
The Government of Chhattisgarh, led by Bhupesh Baghel, has implemented a slew of public welfare schemes aimed at the state’s holistic development. Some of the key initiatives launched by the CM in the past four years include Godhan Nyay Yojan na, Chief Minister Haat Bazaar Clinic Yojana, Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan, CG E-District, Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme, Narva Garva Ghuruva Bari (NGGB) Yojana and many more
The Congress Government in Chhattisgarh led by Bhupesh Baghel is completing four years in Chhattisgarh. In December 2018, Baghel, the then state Congress chief, was appointed Chief Minister after the party secured a landslide victory, capturing 68 of 90 assembly seats following a political drought of 15 years in the tribal-dominated state.
Ever since, Bhupesh Baghel has worked extensively for the betterment of the people of Chhattisgarh, especially rural masses, tribals and farmers. In order to support cultivators, the State Government has extended financial support to under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana.
The State Government has been successful in putting rural-based mainstream economy of the state at the forefront by decisions like enhancement of paddy procurement price, tendu patta collection rates and similar initiatives. The other flagship scheme of the government, Narva Garva Ghuruva Bari ( NGGB), focuses on i mproving the rural economy with the ‘Gouthan’ (cowshed) at its heart as cowsheds are considered an economic issue in the rural economy.
The Chhattisgarh Government has been actively promoting regional festivals and customs that were previously unnoticed. The CM also declared holiday on Hareli Tihar (a l ocal festival).
The Chief Minister launched ‘CG Camp Portal’—an advanced online platform—for monitoring the State Government’s priority schemes such as Godhan Nyay Yojana, Chief Minister
Haat Bazaar Clinic Yojana, Mukhyamantri Suposhan Abhiyan, CG E-District, Chief Minister Urban Slum Health Scheme, Narva Garva Ghuruva Bari (NGGB) Yojana. This portal enables evaluation of the progress during different time periods, and also allows comparative assessment of the progress of the schemes in various districts. Anyone can register their complaints on the Public Grievance Portal. Districtwise, department-wise information about the grievance redressal is made available on the dashboard.
