ARVIND KHANNA BEREAVED

CHANDIGARH: Nagender Khanna, the mother of Dhuri MLA and Punjab Congress general secretary Arvind Khanna, died in New Delhi on Monday evening after a prolonged illness. She was 75. She is survived by her husband, Vipin Khanna, three sons Arvind Khanna, Naveen Khanna, Aditya Khanna and daughter Vineeta Singh. Nagender Khanna was the daughter of Maharaja Bhupinder Singh of Patiala and the paternal aunt of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee president Capt Amarinder Singh. Her cremation will take place in New Delhi on Wednesday. Capt Amarinder Singh has condoled the death saying it was a personal loss to him.
