E verybody knows that city of Golden Temple i. e. Guru Ki Nagri Amritsar has now become hub of tourists and devotees, not only from India but also from all over the world. Resulting in visit of more than one lakh tourists every day; especially to pay obeisance at Golden Temple; which figure is increasing day by day. So, keeping in view the need of extra infrastructure and facilities required for the citizens of Amritsar as well as visiting tourists, Hon'ble Deputy Chief Minister S. Sukhbir Singh Badal has given green signal to Amritsar Improvement Trust, for the projects worth Rs. 533.16 Crore. Improvement Trust already completed some Important Projects cost of Rs. 100.00 Crore. In this respect one of the important projects in hand is Construction of Multi Storey Car-Parking in Shree Durgiana Mandir Beautification scheme cost of Rs. 20.22 Crores. Moreover other Important Projects in hand of Amritsar Improvement Trust are Construction of 1328 EWS flats under BSUP scheme for economically weaker sections of society cost of 58.20 Crore, and this Project is likely to be completed by March - 2015. Some of the other Important Projects in Hand are Development and widening of Macleod road cost of Rs. 7.00 Crore and Strengthening and Widening of Circular Road up to Kitchlu Chowk cost of Rs. 16.24 Crore and this project likely to be completed 30-11-2014. Construction of Road from Majitha Road ESI Hospital to Ranjit Avenue Block-E Amritsar cost of Rs. 11.14 Crore, Development and Widening of Lawrence road from Novelty Chowk to Dasonda Singh Chow, Cost of 2.47 Crore and Some of other Projects under consideration are Strengthening and Widening of Bhandari Bridge and Construction of Fly Over/ Under Pass at SSSS Chowk and above all Trust is going to invite application for 144 Super Delux Flats in Bhai Gurdas Ji Nagar Scheme ( New Amritsar City).
