DANTEWADA: Interacting with students at Jawanga’s Education City — a state government project aimed at providing education for children in Chhattisgarh’s Maoist-affected district — Prime Minister Narendra Modi said one should not dream of “becoming” doctors or engineers but rather dream of “working as doctors or engineers”.
“Do any of you have dreams to become successful in sports? Or, do each one of you want to study and become babus? Don’t dream of ‘becoming’ doctors or engineers. Dream of working as doctors or engineers,” he said.
He also stressed on the need for students to take sports seriously as a means of building good sportsmanship.
When asked by a student whom Modi credits for his success, he said: “I have faced failure in every step of life. We should not weigh our life in terms of success or failure as it leads to disappointment. Just move ahead keeping the target in mind.” CHHATTISGARH, CENTRE SIGN FOUR MOUS The Chhattisgarh gover nment on Saturday signed four Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with various organisations in the Prime Minister’s presence. The MoUs were related to a 140km rail line between Rowghat and Jagdalpur at an estimated cost of ` 2,000 crore; three million ton ultra mega steel plant with an investment of approximately ` 18,000 crore; a slurry pipeline and 2MTPA pellet plant at Nagarnar in Bastar district and setting up a 1MTPA pellet plant at Dalli-Rajhara, Balod district, worth ` 826 crore.
