Principal sent to judicial custody for sexually harassing student

HISAR: A Fatehabad court on Saturday sent the principal of local private school to a day’s police remand in a sexual harassment case filed against him.

The principal was allegedly caught red-handed while sexually assaulting a girl student on Friday following which he was thrashed by students and parents. The middle-aged principal was dragged to the Bhuna police station where he was handed over.

Meanwhile, a video depicting the principal getting slapped and beaten up in full public view has also gone viral.

Police are investigating allegations by some students wherein the principal (35-40 years-old) has been accused of sexually harassing girl students for the past many months.

“He was brought to our police station in Bhuna, where people accompanying him alleged that he was trying to rape a girl. We will thoroughly investigate matter before divulging the details,” said Vijay Singh, district superintendent of police (city).

As per reports, the principal had asked the victim to come to his office on Friday after which he was caught red-handed trying to molest the girl, who had already told her parents about the alleged advances that the principal was making at her.

Well aware of the meeting the girl’s family remained hidden nearby the principal’s room.

No sooner that he started molesting the girl they stormed into the room and dragged him out and took him to the police station.

The parents then lodged a formal complaint against the principal, who has been booked under sections 376 (rape) and 511 of the IPC and various provisions of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
