Doaba Group of Colleges is a leading provider of technical education, with three engineering colleges, three polytechnics, two business schools, one college of pharmacy, one school of education, and one degree college, spread over three campuses in the state of Punjab. All DGC campuses have excellent infrastructure, well equipped modern labs, welldesigned lecture halls, qualified faculty, and a leadership committed to the pursuit of excellence. DGC students have secured top ranks in university/ board examinations and won medals. Students of the DGC Polytechnic College secured a remarkable six of the ten top positions, including the top three positions, in the CSE (semester 3) state level diploma examinations of the Punjab State Board of Technical Education, the merit list for which has just been released by PSBTE. DGC students have also won numerous medals in PTU inter-college sports competitions. A DGC student shattered a 42 year old record in shot put at the last state level polytechnic games. DGC students have also performed excellently in cultural and co-curricular activities. DGC was selected for organising the Punjab Technical University Zonal Youth Fest in October 2014. Awards and rankings: DGC engineering programmes have received extensive recognition, and SiliconIndia has ranked DGC as the 10th best engineering institute in north zone. The vice chancellor, Punjab Technical University, Dr Rajneesh Arora, and the chairman, AICTE, Dr S S Mantha, conferred the CMAI National Punjab Education Award on DGC. The international green flag organisation honoured DGC with the IGFO International Award for environmental excellence. Higher Education Review has just ranked the DGC business school as the best emerging institute of the year. Placement: A very large number of renowned companies visited DGC for placement last year and recruited our students. These include renowned corporations and multinationals like IBM, Bharti-Axa, HDFC life, Just Dial, Tata group companies, Emerson Technologies, Spice Digital. Videocon, Swaraj, Mahindra & Mahindra, Diplast, Mitsuba Secal, DLF Pramerica, ICICI etc International interactions: DGC students get ample opportunities for interacting with leading experts from academia, industry and public sector - from India and abroad. Several leading professionals from USA have visited DGC campuses, for interaction with students and faculty. An MoU with Wolverhampton University, UK enables DGC students to pursue a part of their studies at Wolverhampton. DGC has already acquired a global footprint with its alumni working or pursuing higher studies across the globe - in USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand etc. Students from several African countries study at DGC.
