Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University, Bathinda promises new courses Prof (Dr) Mohan Paul Singh Ishar has joined Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University Bathinda as its first Vice-Chancellor. On his first visit to the Giani Zail Singh-PTU Campus, Bathinda campus director Dr. Jasbir Singh Hundal faculty and staff extended him a warm welcome. Dr Ishar was earlier the Vice-Chancellor of Jammu University. He has also worked for about 12 years in the IIT, Delhi. He has also served at various positions at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar and has about 35 years of teaching, research and administra­tion experience to his credit. During interactio­n with the faculty and staff. Dr. Ishar expressed his desire to make Maharaja Ranjit Singh State Technical University a world-class university where new courses as per the need of industry would be started and emphasis would be laid on research and developmen­t and regular post graduate courses. He also thanked Chief Minister of Punjab Parkash Singh Badal for his confidence in him so that the new university may be take to new heights. On the occasion, entire faculty and staff assured the VC of full cooperatio­n to make the new technical university world class institutio­n.
