Khattar promises industrial hubs in every dist to create jobs

ROHTAK: Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced that the state government is planning to set up industrial hubs in every district of the state to provide jobs to the youth. The chief minister, who was addressing a “vikas rally” in Bhiwani on Saturday, said the state government had formulated a new policy under which one large industrial unit and a large industrial project would be establishe­d in each of the 21 districts. He said the move would create 2.25 lakh jobs for the youth of the state.

Reacting to the allegation­s of the opposition parties, the chief minister said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in the state was working to fulfil its promises made to people.

ANNOUNCES SOPS FOR BHIWANI Reacting to the demands of the local leaders, the chief minister dedicated schemes related to health and education for the people of Bhiwani and announced that foundation stones of medical college and new campus of a university would soon be laid to meet the shortcomin­gs related to health and education. The recruitmen­t of teachers, doctors and other employees has been started in a transparen­t manner to overcome their shortage. However, the chief minister did not fix a deadline, but announced that mining operation would soon be resumed. Khattar also dedicated two water treatment plants, total of 150-million litres per day capacity, to the people in the Bhiwani city. The projects, he announced for Bhiwani, included JBT institutio­ns, a milk plant, upgradatio­n of four schools in assembly constituen­cy, sewerage treatment plant in Sector 21-26, 33kv substation, developmen­t of old ponds in Bhiwani on the pattern of lakes.

‘PREVIOUS GOVTS FAILED TO SOLVE PROBLEMS’ Slamming the previous government­s, the chief minister said since the inception of the state in 1966, no government understood the problems of the people. “Despite having resources in abundance, the situation did not improve due to false intentions of the rulers,” he added. He said his government’s strong stand against corruption would win the confidence of the people and dream of corruption-free government would be fulfilled. He also appealed to the people that wherever they find shortcomin­gs in the working of the government these might immediatel­y be brought to the notice of the government with proof.

VISITORS DEMAND ARTISTE’S PERFORMANC­E

Police had to face a tough time to control the gathering, who had gathered for the rally, as a female folk artiste was hired to give a stage performanc­e before the chief minister reached the venue. But high drama was witnessed when the performanc­e was cancelled as Khattar arrived at the venue in time.
