Two bodies recovered from canal in Adampur

JALANDHAR: Panic g ripped Kadola village at Adampur on Sunday evening when two bodies were found floating in the BistDoab canal distributary.

Around 7pm, the villagers informed the Adampur police after which cops rushed to the spot. They retrieved the bodies from the distributary with the help of swimmers.

The police informed family members of both the deceased, identified as Joginder Singh and Gurdeep Singh of Hoshiarpur district, after retrieving their contact numbers from their wallets.

The statements of family members were yet to be recorded by the police till the filling of report. The bodies were sent to the civil hospital for post-mortem examination and to complete medico-legal formalities.
