WOMAN KILLED, DAUGHTER HURT IN ROAD ACCIDENT

JALANDHAR: Paramjeet Kaur (45), a resident of Khichipur village, died while her daughter got injured in a road accident after a speeding truck hit her Activa scooter near Kapur village on the Jalandhar-Hoshiarpur road in the district. The incident took place when the victim with her daughter Sonia was going to meet her relatives at Suchi Pind on Sunday morning. Kaur was crushed to death on the spot. The police rushed to the spot after getting information and took Sonia to the civil hospital from where her relatives took to a private hospital. The truck driver managed to flee from the spot. The victim’s body was sent to the mortuary for the post-mortem examination.
