MDU V-C ASKS PROFESSORS TO PAY FOR FOREIGN TOURS

ROHTAK: In a jolt to professors of Maharishi Dayanand University (MDU), who used to go on free foreign tours for study, the vice-chancellor has issued fresh directions asking them to pay for their expenses.

Worried over the increasing number of applicatio­ns from professors for foreign tours, MDU V-C Sudhir Rajpal has decided to keep a check on their tours in view of poor financial condition of the university.

As per the new directions, a copy of which is also with HT, issued by the registrar to all heads/deans and directors of the university, the V-C has passed the orders to revert to the old rules of internatio­nal seminar/conference, which were applicable before the implementa­tion of Executive Council’s decision to be taken vide Resolution number 17 of June 12, 2014.
