Power workers to go on strike on Sept 2
KARNAL: All Haryana Power Corporations Workers’ Union has threatened to go on a ‘complete strike’ on September 2 if all workers hired on contract basis are not regularised. At a protest rally held here on Sunday, union president Devender Hooda accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of not working in favour of the state-owned power sector. He said that while the state bureaucracy was claiming that the power companies were suffering huge losses, authorities were not coming up with factors responsible for it.
