‘Flesh trade’: 20 men, 8 women held in Shimla
SHIMLA: The Himachal Pradesh police on Sunday raided a hotel at Shoghi near here, and arrested 20 men and eight women for their alleged involvement in flesh trade.
Acting on a tip-off, the police raided the hotel located on the border of Solan and Shimla districts and ar rested the accused and seized liquor and other material, Shimla superintendent of police (SP) DW Negi said.
The accused have been booked and would be produced in court on Monday, Negi said.
Preliminary inquiries revealed that the men hailed from Ganganagar in Rajasthan, while the women are from Ludhiana in Punjab, he said, adding that the possibility of a sex racket could not be ruled out. PTI
