3 pilgrims heading for Pushkaram killed

KARIMNAGAR(TEL): Three pilgrims, including two women, heading for the ‘Godavari Pushkaram’ were killed and two others injured when two speeding cars collided near here on Sunday, police said. The accident occurred at Ambaripet village outskirts, nearly 40 km from here, when a car heading towards Dharmapuri collided with another four-wheeler coming from the opposite direction, Peddapalli’s deputy superinten­dent of police Nalla Malla Reddy said. The deceased were identified as G Ramanamma (55), Srinivas (33) and Venkatalax­mi (30), who were on way from Hyderabad to attend the ongoing Godavari Pushkaram in Rajamundry, he said.
