YOUTH COMMITS SUICIDE OVER USING WHATSAPP

JALANDHAR: After having an argument with his parents over using mobile application WhatsApp, a 20-year-old student committed suicide by jumping before a train at the city railway station in the wee hours of Monday. The victim, Venus (20), was a resident of Brij Nagar in Gazi Gulla Chowk and a Class 12 student. The Government Railway Police (GRP) rushed to the spot and recovered the body from tracks at 5am. The deceased’s parents told the police that Venus went out on Saturday night at 11:30pm and did not return.
