`1.1 lakh looted from firm employees in Moga

MOGA: Five armed assailants looted `1.10 lakh from two employees of a finance company near Sandhuan Wala village, 9 km from the district headquarte­rs here on Tuesday evening. Surajpal Singh, station house officer (SHO), of the Charik police station, said that five motorcycle­borne people attacked employees of the Centric Finance Company Siddhartha Gautam and Gujinder Singh, residents of Amroha in Uttar Pradesh, while they were returning to Moga after collecting money from their customers at various villages. The police official said that the looters snatched the money and fled from the spot. “We have barricaded all main entry points across the district. However, a case has been registered in this regard and further investigat­ion is underway at the moment,” said SHO.
