Panel to look into architectural flaws in PGIMS trauma centre
ROHTAK: Less than two weeks after Haryana health minister Anil Vij raised questions over the architecture of the trauma centre of the PGIMS Rohtak, a committee has been set up to look into the flaws in the newly-constructed building.
An official spokesman said that a four-member committee comprising director, PGIMS, Rohtak, superintending engineer, public works (building and roads) department (PWD), executive engineer (electrical), PWD, and a representative of chief architect, had been formed by the health department to look into the engineering problems of the trauma centre.
The committee will submit its detailed report, including the corrective measures and financial implications, within two weeks.
Notably, the heath minister, during his surprise visits on July 8 and 9, found flaws in the construction of the building, saying that patients had to travel quite a distance to go to the toilets.
