FORMER BRAND AMBASSADOR UPSET AT THE NEW CHOICE
PANCHKULA: Ishita Uppal, who was appointed by the previous Congress government as the brand ambassador of Haryana against female foeticide, is not amused with the decision of the BJP government to appoint film star Parineeti Chopra as the brand ambassador for Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign.
Ishita Uppal was designated as the brand ambassador by then chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda in 2009.
Addressing media persons at her residence in Panchkula, Ishita said that the government was in talks with her for making her the brand ambassador of Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao campaign and accused it of cheating her by taking the proposals she had prepared for running the campaign.
She said that the government would spend money on Parineeti Chopra, but she would not be able to devote required time on the campaign due to her busy schedule.
