Navrattan to set up green cement plant

The Navrattan group firmed up an investment of about `1,500 crore in Punjab, primarily in the cement and power generation sectors. Chairman Himanshu Verma, in his meeting with the deputy chief minister, said the milestones of the Navrattan group included Navrattan Cement Industries LLP, which uses green-based cement technology to produce green cement by using byproducts like fly ash with its manufacturing facilities coming up at Rajpura and Bathinda.
