CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Congress Legislature Party (CLP) on Tuesday passed a resolution condemning what it ter med a “well- planned undemocratic conspiracy” of the BJP government to orchestrate large-scale violence during the recent Jat quota agitation besides keeping its legislators out of the assembly during the ongoing budget session.

The legislature party also rubbished allegations against the Congress and former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, both inside and outside the assembly, of orchestrating the violence, said state legislator Raghubir Kadiyan.

Hooda, who was accompanied by several MLAs including CLP leader Kiran Choudhry, Geeta Bhukkal, Anand Singh Dangi and Lalit Nagar during a meeting of the CLP, said: “The BJP has become unpopular during a short period of one-and-a-half year, and is going back to its old policy of dividing people, due to which Haryana simmered recently,” he said.

Hooda said there was evidence that pointed towards BJP ministers and legislators, besides its ally Indian National Lok Dal, provoking people and instigating violence, while the government remained a mute spectator. 10-LAKH RELIEF FOR VICTIMS’ KIN ROHTAK: The government has given `10-lakh relief to families of four people killed in mob violence during the Jat agitation in February.
